User guide of Conductivity Electrode
1. The main material for electrode measuring terminal is glass and platinum, make sure that test solutions will not affect measuring terminal before measurement.
2. The surface of platinum sheet of platinum black probe is adhered with loose platinum black substance, should avoid touching with any object. It is not suitable to measure the conductivity of solutions with high viscosity. Damage of platinum black substance may cause mismeasurement.
3. The constant of conductivity electrode should be calibrated regularly.
4. The electrode cap,wire and connector interface should avoid stress and any damage.
5. Must keep the connector interface dry.
6. Cleaning of platinum black conductivity electrode a) Routine cleaning: Immerse electrode measuring terminal in absolute ethanol and rinse several times, charge absolute ethanol twice during rinsing. Then soak the electrode in DI water for more than 20min. b) Inorganic sediment: Immerse the electrode measuring terminal in 1% acetic acid solution for 5min,then follow routine cleaning.
7. Put1/2DIwaterinprotectivebottletostoretheelectrode.
8. Cleaning and repair of bright conductivity electrode
a) Soak the electrode 0.1mol/LHCl or 0.1mol/LEDTA for 15min,then rinse with DI water. b) Organic cleaning:Immerse the electrode measuring terminal in absolutee than ol (or solvent that can dissolve this organic)for 15min,then rinse with DI water.
