1. Introduction
Thank you for purchase of FTIR-650 FT-IR Spectrometer from nanbei. This user manual contains information needed to install, operate the instrument and perform user maintenance.
This spectrometer must be operated by qualified personnel.

3. Safety Information
3.1 Fire Safety and Burn Hazards
To avoid any fire safety issues or burn hazards take note of the following guidelines:
· When testing samples they must not be flammable or explosive.
· To purge your spectrometer and accessories only use nitrogen or dried air.
· For replacement of components a 15 minute wait is required after switching the power off.
· Never obstruct ventilation on the spectrometer or power supply.
· The safety of your instrument is affected by the power supply. In the event of replacing the power supply, only use an exact replacement.
· For the replacement of the laser assembly, there is no burn hazard.
3.2 Maneuvering the Spectrometer
Avoid sudden vibrations or collisions while moving the spectrometer. Any larger accessories attached to the spectrometer must be removed before attempting to move the spectrometer.
3.3 Electrical Safety:
The following symbol represents a risk of electric shock in the surrounding area on your spectrometer or power supply.
The FTIR-650 spectrometer and its accessories were designed with protective covers to prevent exposure to dangerous voltage and other electrical hazards.
Warning: If any protective covers on the spectrometer or power supply are or appear damaged, immediately turn off the spectrometer and secure it against any future use. Contact the manufacturer for service.The following symbols appear on your spectrometer and power supply. Take note for safety reasons.
